In 2014, Adidas signed a massive £750 million sponsorship with Manchester United to make their kit for the next ten years. Nike ended their kit sponsorship after the 14/15 season. Manchester United were getting £23.5 million a year for the Nike sponsorship deal. Now they are getting a massive £75 million a year from Adidas. Real Madrid are only getting £31 million a year from Adidas. In one week, £75 million worth of Zlatan Ibrahimovic jerseys were sold and in three weeks £190 million worth of Paul Pogba jerseys were sold. I don't know how accurate these figures are but that's just two players from the Manchester United squad. This shows how big Manchester United are and why Adidas would pay Manchester United so much money a year.
